GPRS Settings for Different Manufacturers

In case of Nokia phones, two possible cases are-
1- You are not able to download the NewsHunt application in your mobile.
2- You have downloaded the NewsHunt successfully but its not able to connect.
If 2nd case is true, then you need to create the manual Access Point settings. If you are not able to download the NewsHunt application itself then you need to create manual "Web" and "Access Point" settings both. How to create these settings is mentioned in the next section.
Manual GPRS Settings on Nokia Devices
- "Web" Settings: Required if the phone browser is not working
- "Access Point" Settings: Required if phone browser is working but NewsHunt application is not working.
Creating "Web" Settings
If your phone browser is not working then you have to create "Web" Settings. Please follow the given steps to create "Web" settings manually.
1- Click on "Menu" and go to "Settings"
2- Now click on "Settings" and select "Configurations"
3- Now click on "Configurations" and go to "Personal config. settings"
4- If there are no entries inside "Personal config. settings" then click on "Add" and go to step 6.
5- If "Personal config. settings" already have some entries then click on "Options" and select "Add New".
6- Select "web" from the list that appears after you have clicked on "Add".
7- Now click on "Account name" and Enter "NewsHunt". Any other name can also be entered. Press "OK".
8- Next, click on "Homepage". You can enter "http://newshunt.com" or any other valid URL as the home page and press "OK"
9- The next two entries for "User name" and "Password" depend on your operator. Please check the Table 1 for details-

10- After you have entered user name and password based on your operator, go to the next item "Use preferred access pt." and say "Yes".
11- Next, click on "Back" and let "NewsHunt" is the selected item, then go to "Options" and select "Activate".
12- Now click on "Back" and select "Default config settings". You will find one Entry "Personal configuration". Click on "Options" and select "Set as Default"
13- Next, click on the second item "Activ. Default in all apps" and say "Yes".

Creating "Access Point" Settings
1-Click on "Menu" and go to "Settings"
2- Now click on "Settings" and select "Configurations"
3- Now click on "Configurations" and go to "Personal config. settings"
4- If there are no entries inside "Personal config. settings" then click on "Add" and go to step 6
5- If "Personal config. settings" already have some entries then click on "Options" and select "Add New".
6- Select "Access point" from the list that appears on clicking "Add new".
7- Click on the "Account name" field and enter the name as "NewsHunt". Any other name is also valid. Press Ok to come back to previous screen.
8- Click on "Access point setting" and select "Bearer settings".
9- When you click on the "Bearer settings" item you will get the following screen.
10- Click on the "Packet data access point" item. The entries you will put here depend on your operator. Here "Airtel" is considered as operator. Please check Table 2 for valid entries corresponding to your operator -
Click "Ok"

13-Click "Back" 3 times to return to the following screen-
14- Now click on "Options" and select "Activate".
15- Now click on "Back" again. Your preferred access point should become "NewsHunt" as shown in the following screen shot.

Please make sure that internet profile selected in "Menu -> Settings ->Connectivity -> Settings for Java" is same as the selected entry in "Menu -> Settings ->Connectivity ->Internet settings -> Internet profiles". Motorola
Please make sure that corresponding to your operator, proper Web Sessions is marked. For this you have to go to "Menu -> WebAccess -> Web Sessions". For example, if your operator is Airtel, then inside "Menu -> WebAccess -> Web Sessions" Airtel Live should be marked. Also check that for Service Type: HTTP, Proxy and Port entries are present. For example, if your operator is Airtel, then for Service Type: HTTP, the Proxy should be 100.001.200.099 and port should be 8080. Samsung
Please make sure that the profile selected in your "Menu -> Browser -> Current Profile" is corresponding to your Operator and the GPRS plan activated in your SIM. For example if your operator is Airtel and Airtel Live plan is activated in your SIM, then inside "Menu -> Browser -> Current Profile" Airtel Live should be selected.
